From the beautiful campus to the challenging programs of study and supportive community there is a lot to love about LMU.

I came to LMU with a specific major and program in mind. It became clear rather quickly that it wasn’t the right path for me. My advisor helped me find a new major in psychology and I just added a dual major in criminal justice. The faculty have supported me throughout my journey and really care if I am successful.

I love that I have the opportunity to pursue my dream of becoming a physician right here and that I have the opportunity to network with medical school faculty and students.

A Noble Mission

During the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln told General O.O. Howard to go there and do something for the loyal people of the Cumberland Gap region. Years later, in 1897 Howard joined a group of educators in founding Lincoln Memorial University. Nearly 125 years later, the University’s mission remains to provide educational opportunities in Appalachia and beyond.

Located where Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky converge at the Cumberland Gap, the LMU Main Campus includes 1,000 acres adjacent to the Cumberland Gap National Historical park. Beautiful mountain views, access to hiking, biking, climbing and more, plus wide open space and room to go, LMU has it all.
